Chukwuma & Ellen

It all began when Chukwuma's family moved from Gauteng to the North West, where they made some lovely friends in the congregation. Although the family eventually moved back to Joburg, they remained in touch with their friends in Klerksdorp. Little did they know that those friendships would one day play a part in Chukwuma meeting his future wife.

One day, while scrolling through a mutual friend's status, Chukwuma happened to see a picture of a sister who was really beautiful. Naturally, curiosity got the better of him, and he asked about her. He soon discovered that she had only started attending the Klerksdorp congregation after he had moved back to Joburg.

And then came the big question: “Can I have her number?”

Unfortunately for Chukwuma, Ellen said no. But apparently, a little rejection was not enough to stop him! After finding another way to get her number, Chukwuma finally succeeded, and got to know Ellen more. A few conversations turned into a little friendship, and although neither of them knew it at the time, something special was quietly beginning.

Later that year, a convention was held in Joburg, and the friends from the North West came down to attend. And that was the moment when Chukwuma and Ellen officially met. Their first meeting was filled with laughter, good conversation and such a lovely time together that, after the convention, they found themselves talking again… and again.

Soon enough, the groom made his intentions known to the bride. And while she didn't make it too easy for him — after a few attempts, of course! Chukwuma eventually won her heart. And she fell in love with him too.

What started as a simple friendship blossomed into something far more beautiful… a love neither of them could have imagined when it all began. And now, after all the unexpected turns, the distance, the laughter, the conversations and a little bit of persistence… that love has brought Chukwuma and Ellen here — to the beginning of their forever.
