Our Love Story
How It All Began
It all began when Chukwuma's family moved from the North West to Gauteng and served in a lovely congregation, where they made a few close friends. When the family later moved back to Joburg, they stayed in touch with friends in Klerksdorp — little did they know that move was the start of how he'd find his future wife.
One day, while viewing a friend's status, Chukwuma saw a picture of a sister he thought was really beautiful. He asked about her, and learned she had only joined the Klerksdorp congregation after he'd already moved back to Joburg. He asked a mutual friend for her number.
The request was denied.
Eventually, through other means, Chukwuma got her number and reached out to get to know this beautiful sister. A few chats turned into a small friendship. Later that year, a convention was held in Joburg, and those from the North West attended — that's when they officially met. It was so much fun that they kept talking long after the convention ended.
Soon, the groom made his intentions known to the bride — and after a few tries, he eventually won her heart. She fell in love too, and a long-distance relationship was born. What started as a friendship soon blossomed into something much more beautiful. And today, that love has brought Chukwuma and Ellen here — to the beginning of forever together.
